Some photos taken in the Northwestern part of Greenland
Pictures of the town we live in and the island we live on
These pink photos were taken around mid feb. around the time that the sun rose above the surrounding mountains and sent its lovely rays straight towards us.
Sometimes after a storm the ice breaks up and the water is visible for a day or so before it starts to solidify again
Sunsets and rises
Eventhough they happen every day it is still spectacular to see special ones. And the tempo up here lets us see every sunset without stress of haste.
Sunsets
Sunrises

Struggeling to rise, this was the sun on one of the first days in febuary 2012 then it was finally visible to the people in the high North
Before the sun rises the clouds look so happy
The moon has its charme too

Love the way our shadows are very long because the sun is hanging low over the horizon.
A few of the infinite number of random ice crystals outside our warm house
