The day before the sun peeked over the mountain, a vertical 'rainbow' appeared
When the air gets so cold that all humidity turns into tiny snow crystals that dance around and sparkle in the sunlight it is called Diamond Dust because it looks a lot like diamonds are all around
The days have been full of ice cold crystals since the sun got out of bed half a month ago. Every day the sun gains a lot more hight and it gets colder and colder the clearer the days are. So now the ocean is covered with a layer of ice once again.
Polar bears
The yearly polar bear quota has now been used, which means that 41 bears have become a nice hot rug somewhere in the region. It also means that now the animals cannot be hunted anymore and the animals that pass by our town may come closer than before and we may have a glimpse of them if we are lucky. – Hopefully they will still stay at a distance though.

The days go by fast but nothing apart from the suns position changes much.
